Mom, Dad and Carter had a great time, we couldn't stop taking pictures.

Birthday fun for Mom
My birthday was September 15th and as it turned out, Steve had the whole week of my birthday off so I took off the Thursday and Friday beforehand. On Thursday, Steve, Carter, Gramma and I all went up to the Evanston park/dog beach and spent the afternoon just sitting and enjoying the gorgeous day. It was so nice....it was especially cool because when Carter was only two and a half months old, Steve went up to this same park with Bailey, Amy and Carter and they took pictures then. It's SCARY to see how fast Carter is growing up.

More pictures from the park in Evanston. The SECOND we laid down towels and blankets to sit on, Mr. Bailey sits down in the middle of them.

A GREAT picture of Bailey and his Gramma...

Evanston has a great dog beach but you normally need a permit to use it which is only available to Evanston residents. Well, we were there on a Thursday afternoon so it was pretty quiet and one of the Parks people was there and told us they only check for permits on the weekends now after Labor Day and we were very welcome to use the beach! Here is Bailey in HEAVEN, frolicking on the beach with a new friend.

Carter and the Roomba
O.K., O.K...Mom and Dad have been slackers, we admit it.
These pics are from September or so. Carter was sitting in his highchair waiting to be served his next meal when all of a sudden, our Roomba started up (we have it scheduled to vacuum the same time every day). Well, his utter fascination with this machine was hilarious as you can see below...

As the robot got closer, you can see how he never took his eyes off of it. He was leaning so far forward in his highchair, thank God he was strapped in because he was pulling those to their limit!

Clean up aisle 1
Carter was a bit dirtier then normal after dinner one night, and Bailey jumped on it. And yes, we did bathe Carter THOROUGHLY after Bailey took his first pass...
