Prostate problems and boating dont mix

So my parents were in Florida recently with some good friends who live down there. They decided that they would go out for a boat cruise. Needless to say the pictures and title speak for themselves:

pee1 : "impressive shadow", should we call you tripod?

pee2

George, there are meds for that, or you could be like Carter and wear diapers :)

Put a smile on my face

I was wandering through more pictures and this one just put a smile on my face. I forgot that When Bailey was about 6 months old he would crawl into the cage with Ashley, who I think he knew didnt care for him. That ballsy little runt would climb in there and lay down right next to her, and just keep nudging her.

And it didnt change when he grew up and was twice her size. I think he grew on her with time.

SUPER bad day

So to cap off some really craptastic days, today we had to put my little girl Ashley to sleep. So many happy memories, so many walks, so much unconditional love that she gave to all of us. She was brought home in my junior year of high school, and got to see a lot of my life. We have pictures of her with me and Ange at every high school dance, she was along for the wedding proposal, she was around even after the very long engagement for the wedding. She got to meet little Carter, and she even put up with us when we got our own dog Bailey, though she would go into a self imposed coma anytime he came over since he was just to rambunctious for her. So if you have a dog, give em a hug. And if you knew Ashley, just remember a good time with her, even if it was just you petting her. Other posts of ashley here and here.
Here are some pictures of her in her good times:

This is her when she was probably 9-12 months old. Still Black and white, and still nuts:

Same photo set:

This was a little over 3 yrs ago, and was probably the last time she looked Bailey in the face. Could almost read her thoughts, "You bastard, you got a dog too!"
This is from last year when she was with us, her favorite spot was the couch, which meant no watching tv up there since she would throw herself in the middle of it. Though Bailey did jump up a few times and throw himself down to take some room:

Bye Ashe, hope you enjoyed your time with us, since I sure did with you.

Carter's Christening Day - June 3, 2007

Well, Carter's big day was here last Sunday. We had such a nice day. The ceremony was at Immaculate Conception church, which is at the end of our block and the parish where Steve went to grammar school. After the ceremony, Grampa and Gramma Wielgus very graciously let us use their house for an Open House all afternoon.

The weather TOTALLY held out for us, it only really rained hard for about 20 minutes and we had a tent set up outside so we were all good anyway. I was so nice to be able to visit with our friends and family. Gramma Drnek, Gramma Wielgus, Auntie Linda, Cathy and more people I'm SURE I'm forgetting made such wonderful food for the day, we ate all afternoon long.

As you can see from the below, Carter was dressed in a BEAUTIFUL gown with a matching cap and coat that was made with lots of love by his Gramma Drnek. It was made out of the same material as my wedding dress with lots of hand embroidery. He slept thru the ENTIRE ceremony, including when the ice cold water was poured over his head. He is our little dreamboat....

Here is Carter on his way to the church for his big day, rolling along in his Bugaboo. I especially want to point out that the white blanket that you see at the foot of the stroller was made for Carter by his cousin Jessica for his christening day. It was really warm and humid out so he wasn't covered up but it kept his feet all nice and snuggly when he fell asleep in church.

Here is Carter (asleep!) with Auntie Amy and Uncle Tommy...

Here we all are on the altar, the Drnek/Wielgus crew....

Here we are just after Carter was sprinkled with holy water. The priest forgot he was doing a baptism and called it something else and we were all laughing at him.

Carter's thinking, "AWWW, you guys...PLLLLEEEASSSEE stop pulling on me in this DRESS!"

Carter's youngest cousin Julia just couldn't get enough of him. She kept trying to reach out and touch him. All Carter could do was look up at Daddy and say, "Dude, will you PLEASE get me out of this christening DRESS??"
